Cancellation

2020.03.20 18:12 aerahh_ Cancellation

I received an email last night from British Airways stating that one of my flights (Heathrow to Joburg) was cancelled. It states that I can rearrange the trip to a later date or I can cancel the whole trip and get a full refund.
When I try select either option it says that I am unable to amend the booking online and to contact their customer service. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't see why I can't just cancel online. I'll wait a few days for things to get quiter and then give them a call but I was hoping someone may have done this already.. if so how was your experience?
Edit: I was unable to cancel this online as the consent page directed me to contact the Customer Service. I called them today, waited about 10 minutes on hold at which point I got through to an advisor. It took a further 10 minutes to process the refund, so all in all 20 minutes and I was done :)

2019.11.23 12:55 adviceneeded02 My crush (35m) was flirtatious initially but has left my (24F) texts in the "read". Length of relationship 4 years. Please help me to decode my texts and behaviour so I can move forward with him.

Hey so a bit of background info: A few months ago I developed a crush on a man I used to work with when I was a waitress at a restaurant. He is the operations manager at the restaurant. Let's call him James.
James and I always had chemistry but a few months ago I realised I had feelings for him. So I started visiting the restaurant a little more often. He was very flirtatious and told me how beautiful I was. He asked for my number and then sent me a message with a 'blowing a kiss emoji'.
I then confessed over text that I was attracted to him and hinted at the possibility of dating. He then said that maybe we could "get to know each other slowly" because he has been an emotional wreck since his father passed away in July this year.
Since then he hasn't messaged me but yesterday I popped into his restaurant with my female friend. He was so busy that I didn't get to chat to him so I sent him a message later that night.
Please read my messages and tell me what I am doing wrong or what I could do differently. Am I not being flirtatious enough?
MESSAGES:
Me: Hey James didn't get to say hello today how are you doing?
Him: I was in sun city for the weekend. Went to watch the Nedbank Golf Challenge. Guest of Savanna dry. So had lots of catch up to do this week. Only got back on Tues. Just wen I wanted to come sit with u a bit, u were walking out.
Me: That must have been amazing. I went to Joburg in September and visited Sun City. It was so cold at that time. Hope you enjoyed it :) Just popped in today with my friend who has just moved to Rondebosch. Ended up leaving early to go to Ou Meul for the pizza special
Him: Oh ja I often go there for the special. Their pizza and burgers aren't bad at all. U say u were in joburg recently... Is that wen u took the profile pic...? Cause I was checking ur profile pic and wondering but that's in joburg....mmm wen was she in joburg???
Me: Their pizzas aren't bad at all. I wasn't even aware that they had that special until yesterday. Yes that picture was taken in Joburg at Nelson Mandela Square. I have friends and family in jhb but don't visit very often. I was there for a week and I stayed with my cousin and his wife :)
After that he read my message and hasn't responded in two days. I would love to date this guy. I just don't want to mess it up. Can someone please give me some advice?
TL;DR! My crush (35m) was very flirtatious initially but has now gone cold towards me (24F) and I don't know why. Need advice on how to go forward and fix things.

2019.11.15 02:12 deepuw Tourist trying to understand the best way to travel to Mozambique by land

Hi all, greetings from another country. I'll arrive to J'burg soon and will do the touristy thing, visit Kruger, etc. I was also invited to go see some friends in Vilanculos, Mozambique. Flying seems to be a bit cost prohibitive to be honest, so I am trying to gather information on how to get there by land.
So far I know I can go to Maputo and take some pretty basic buses for 12 hours. Does anyone know if there are any transports catered to tourists, with AC and toilets?
I have also found a company called Tour2Moz, that conveniently pick you up at OR Tambo and take you as far as Beira in Mozambique, which would be perfect as I could be dropped off on the way there. The problem is that I do not think this company has available seats for my dates. Does anyone know if there are other companies doing this kind of transportation?
Lastly, any extra information you believe I should have related to this transportation is welcomed and encouraged. Thanks for the help!!

Update after the trip:
What-a-trip!!! South Africa <3!!!
So, there was a guy on this thread (u/FyreMael) who said, literally: "I hope you aren't too attached to your belongings because you WILL get robbed". This person offered this debatable piece of advised without anyone actually asking him anything even related to such topic. When called out, he ended up getting aggressive and even saying "I live close to OR Tambo, let me know when you arrive and we'll fix this argument face to face". What-a-clown. Of course, this person deleted all comments. See in the thread :)
So, out of that situation, I set a reminder to come back to this and share my safety experience. I want to make sure that this page, when found on related searches, doesn't just show the opinion of a poor soul who lives his life afraid of everything around him.
So here it is: I am back home in one piece. I had the time of my life in both South Africa and Mozambique. I traveled by land, I got in remote markets, I went to scuba dive in remote places, I self drove in Kruger, I drove in Joburg. I took Ubers, I went to urban events, I hung out with people I had never seen before, from South Africa, from Botswana, from Europe, from Mozambique, from South and North America, you name it. I stayed at hostels without a single of my things being taken. I got drunk, I ate anything (worst was mild food poisoning in remote Moz).
So, people, don't be like Mr. Apocalypse down in this thread. Shit sometimes happens, but that's not reason enough to bash a whole country and scare tourists on the internet.
Thanks for welcoming me to your city and showing me such a great time :)

Major Korean Banks Back Bitcoin Startup Coinplug’s $6.4 Million Round Coinplug, one of the earliest Bitcoin exchange, wallet and payment startups in South Korea, has raised 7.5 billion won, or $6.4 million, from venture arms of major local financial institutions. The funding came from KB Investment, a VC unit of the KB Financial Group, one of the largest banking institutions in Korea; Mirae Asset Venture Investment, a listed subsidiary of investment bank and securities broker Mirae Asset Daewoo; as well as private equity and VC firm Smilegate Investment. With the new equity financing, Coinplug said it would be focusing on decentralized identification technologies, an area that has drawn significant interest from the Korean government and major banks in the country.

Yesterday, there was a sharp decline in bitcoin below the $7,800 support area against the US Dollar. As a result, there was a significant drop in BTC price below the main $7,500 support area.
Moreover, there was a close below $7,800 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. Finally, the price traded close to $7,300 and formed a new monthly low at $7,302. It is currently consolidating losses and is trading above the $7,400 level.
On the upside, there are many key resistances for buyers near the $7,500 and $7,600 levels. Additionally, the 23.6% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $8,327 high to $7,302 low is also near the $7,540 level.
More importantly, there is a major bearish trend line forming with resistance near $7,500 on the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair. If there is a break above the trend line, the price could face resistance near the $7,600 level.

Edit: I have made a map of the suggestions and will update it accordingly as more come in: https://bit.ly/38R4lgw
I'm quite familiar with my region (region B = Randburg) and the cool places to go but I'm trying to find cool places all over and avoid malls (unless it's the raddest mall since they invented the word rad) if possible, so here is a region map of Joburg:
https://www.cidforum.co.za/files/Screenshot%202016-01-18%2015.13.36.png

Anyway for those who dont know Bosasa is a South African company specialising in providing services to government, most notably prison services. It is controversial for its involvement in corruption allegations exposed during the Zondo Commission of Inquiry. The company is well known for this Video Footage of Bosasa CEO Gavin Watson dealing in bribes
So according to the testimony of Bosasa’s former chief operating officer, Angelo Agrizzi centers for troubled youths — which Bosasa had government contracts to run — were a widely tapped source of ANC campaign funds. Apparently the scheme worked like this: A.N.C. officials would approach Bosasa, saying they needed money for a campaign. Bosasa would then fraudulently invoice the government for old computer software at the youth centers. Once paid, Bosasa usually kept half and the other half would go to the official.
Ok so now, the Lindela Repatriation Centre (Lindela) situated in Krugersdorp which is approx 35 KM from Johannesburg in is one of South Africa’s largest detention facilities for the holding of undocumented migrant all awaiting determination of their legal status in South Africa (or deportation). Although the facility falls under the department of home affairs, the government had outsourced its management to the now controversial security company Bosasa since at least 2003. source
According to the book Rethinking the South African Crisis: Nationalism, Populism, Hegemony it mentions that the ANC Womens league is a shareholder of the Lindela Repatriation Centre/
Now on the 1 August 2019 Video Footage of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police raideing the Johannesburg CBD in attempt to confiscate illegal good allegedly soled by FOREIGN NATIONALS.....and failing.

Then on 26 August 2019 CEO of controversial company Bosasa, now African Global Operations, Gavin Watson (73) died in the early hours of Monday in a car crash on the way to O.R Tambo International Airport - News Report.
Now suddenly Johannesburg Police Raids has turned into Xenophobic attacks like THIS NSFW/L!
TAKE NOTETo add for evidence the Johannesburg Metropolice leaving weapons specifically shotguns conviently unattended in a Police van. A weapon type whose expended rounds are also conviently untraceable.
It seems to be the monopoly of the legitimate use of physical force or rather the 'right' to use violence always reserved for police and military personnel have now gone to the ANC for financial gain.

2019.09.01 23:05 SubaruToyotaFan1986 Hypothetical individual for /r/AskAnAmerican

John Doe

Date of birth 18 March 1990
Birthplace Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Biography

John was born to an American father and Indian South African mother in Johannesburg. His father was an American expat working for a major company during apartheid. He has U.S. citizenship through his father [birthright] and South African citizenship.
John's father was born in Dallas, Texas, in one of the suburbs, and is of Scottish, Italian and Chinese descent. He is white.
John has heterochromia [two eyes with different color] and was mocked when young for his hybrid Joburg-Texas accent.
John lived in South Africa until he was 23. He had several jobs in his teens, including working in a gas station, selling ice-cream from a stand, and he also worked in local politics for three years, mainly managing the local government district's websites.
Aged 25, he decided to move to the U.S. and got into web hosting, working for a small hosting provider in 2014, working on support tickets.
In 2015, he got into blogging, managing two very different blogs - a blog on local happenings in his new home city in California, and a medical blog, as well as his regular job.
Outside of his webhosting job, John was involved in running a group for SANZA's [South Africans, Australians, New Zealanders] in California, and the group got a discounted deal on hosting their website via the provider he worked for.
Life went on as normal for him, until 2028, when he decided to run for election, having been dissatisfied with the politics of the 2010's.

Political positions

John had an interest in politics from an early age, but then again, where he came from had an influence with the apartheid era in force.
He knew that the Donald Trump rhetoric completely went against everything he believed in.
John is an individual who believes:
  • An American can be anyone [he said "I may not sound American, or look American, but I am as American as anyone in this country". He also stated how he'd been bullied in the 2010s for not sounding American enough, his South African/Texan drawl, and for being against Donald Trump's political positions.].
  • More money for education in terms of spending on physical buildings, upgrade of computer systems, train staff in spotting signs of potential school shooters.
  • Higher spending on food production and exports
  • Wants prostitution to be legalised, having been friends with them and noting that they were not always as bad as the media makes them out.
  • Is not a fan of feminism, says sexual harassment by gender or sexuality can and does happen to an individual, not a gender.
  • Sees gun control as an important issue, but says that having a gun is an important thing, having seen how South Africa was dangerous in many cities.
  • Family is important, even with physical distance.
  • Is a keen gamer, has been since the 2000's.
  • A simpler, back-to-basics immigration system and overhaul of visas, but retaining H-1 visa and H-1B possibly.
  • More money for transport and roads to improve the U.S. transport system. Autonomous vehicle research funding frozen, companies cannot test on public roads.
  • Large-scale public inquiry into privacy issues on autonomous vehicles. John does not support a fully 100% autonomous vehicle.
  • Recommendation for American police forces to use ProViDa in-car dashcam from Danish company Petards, government contract for this.
  • Relationship visa: RV-1: Replacing previous visas on relationships, and relies on digital investigation over interviews as proof of relationship given that social media is important.
  • Regulation of media [radio]: All radio stations must have 13 hours local weekdays, 4 hours local weekends, syndicated programming off-peak weekdays and weekends. Local hours are 6am-7pm weekdays and any time for 4 hours weekends.
  • Public inquiry into U.S./Mexico border situation.
  • LGBT discrimination: A private service cannot discriminate on grounds of gender or sexuality. This applies to transgender people.
  • Disability: John knew a man with Down's Syndrome from 2013-2018, and was good friends with him. John feels that Down's syndrome is still a misunderstood issue.
  • A new healthcare system modelled on NHS
  • Race-based scholarships made illegal, and a fine of $300,000 for any educational institution that runs them.
  • Political position on automation: It's not all 100% good or bad, but mass automation could be problematic. UBI may not always be the answer.
  • A new visa system for creatives wishing to enter the country - fast-track visa system for this.
  • A Schengen-agreement like U.S./Canada border - live and work indefinitely in the other [similar to Trans-Tasman Agreement]
  • Better relations with South Africa and the United Kingdom.
  • An open, free Internet for all and a return to net neutrality.

Proposed policies

  • New visa system for actors and creative types, a fast-track visa with no expiration
  • U.S./Mexico border: Moratorium on this issue.
  • Illegal immigrants: Amnesty on immigrants, fast-track some immigrants and grandfather clause them into U.S. citizenship.
  • Net neutrality to return
  • Gun control: Look at how South Africa does it for guns [based on bhis personal experience] and work from there.
  • U.S./Canada border policy similar to Trans-Tasman agreement
  • Decriminalization of cannabis similar to Portugal.
  • Spending cut for FBI to boost spending on healthcare issues and law enforcement [day-to-day policing]
  • 25-year import rule lowered to 15 years for importation of motor vehicles, if it can be proven the vehicle is substantially similar [for example, South African-spec Ford Ranger T6 pickup imported into the U.S. and is similar to U.S. version]
  • Keep Section 230 from abolition.
  • Allow certain states like Texas, California, Arizona, Vermont, New Hampshire to set their own immigration policies [Quebec model]
  • Would like a better U.S. - South Africa relationship, but not in the Trump/Putin way, more from a cultural and social perspective.
  • U.S. equivalent of GDPR for American websites.
This is a fictional individual, but there could be someone similar in real life.

2019.07.04 16:37 Trip4Fun Sorry for the long post. Not sure how to talk about this, not sure it even counts.

I'm probably wasting your time by writing this, but I gotta get it out. I don't like to nag the few people I have in my life now with my weird problems.
I don't feel like I had a particularly bad childhood or anything. My parents did the best they could to improve my life, immigrating to Australia and starting fresh with no savings (because the government doesn't let you take your money out of the country)
I was born in South Africa a Year or so before Nelson Mandela was elected, (although apartheid had ended a few years before that) and I grew up in a "middle-class" family, with a working father and a stay-at-home mom. Dad had been in the army during the somewhat small civil war before the end of apartheid, so he's a bit of a hard-ass. Mom was a farm-girl who moved to the city to study, where she met my dad at her cousins wedding. Due to the country, they were Super-Mega-Apache-Helicopter parents. I was fairly sheltered in pre-primary, aside from what I would see on the drives too-and-from school and friends. I had a few family members (on my dad's side) who I'd consider close, on account of the distance (they lived in joburg near me). Mostly my grandmother, who has dementia/alzheimers and doesn't recognise me or her son at this point, and that's really fucking with my mind. I really adore my mom's side, (who are all farmers, and always accepted the kind of crazy I was). Some of my best memories are with them.
I was exposed to a lot of violence as a kid, living in Johannesburg. I think around the time I was born there were about 100 murders a day, but it's about half that now. I'm not even sure I remember when I saw my first dead body. one of the earlier ones I can remember were two guys dragging a dead/unconscious woman in to an alleyway when I was about 8 or so. When I was about 10 I was in the car with my family and we had to drive around a stabbing victim in the middle of an intersection down the road from my house. Those images are clear as day in my head, and have been hard to process. I'm pretty numb to death at this point. I can't count on both hands the number of people I know who were murdered.
A lot started with me in primary school. I was a sensitive guy with undiagnosed OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and doing my best to get by. (For those unfamiliar, it's like like having a panic attack 24/7, and not knowing why it's happening. Most compulsive habits are formed to sooth the anxiety. More on that later).
The shit I saw was starting to manifest in terrible and uncontrollable nightmares, with a lot being the same dream over and over. Around that time my Sleep Paralysis and Exploding Head Sydrome started to manifest as well. My theory was that the EHS started when I began trying to actively wake myself up from these nightmares and sleep paralysis, and I'd see a flash of white light and my ears would start ringing, then I'd just pop up with my heart doing 120+ BPM.
Around my 5th year in school, I joined the boy scouts. I wanted to impress my dad (a former scout himself) and put up with lot of shit. My first day in boy scouts involved building a wrestling ring (aka: WWE ring) out of empty oil barrels and rope. After we finished building it, we had our names thrown into a hat, and drawn out in a fighting roster. I was 10YO at the time, and drawn to fight a 14YO kid in my own scout group (eagle scouts, who were supposed to fight lion scouts). He basically bull-rushed me and slammed me in to the oil barrels, and then the punches started, ending our fight, while the scoutmasters chaperoned the fight, and even MC'd the fights like it was a boxing match between fully grown adults. (That was one hell of an initiation...). My back was fucked-up for a month, because oil barrels don't make for a soft landing...
I can laugh about it now for a few reasons (mostly for the kid who came up with the fighter-name "scrumptious, delicious sausage" while I kept it more traditional with "The Undertaker") and went savage at a dude twice his size with no fear and smacked him with the force of a thousand suns. This type of event was common in my time there, and after my initiation, the bullying started. On camps I got all the chores, and when pitching up the tents, I'd have metal poles thrown at the back of my head. They picked a lot of fights with me, mostly with me losing (but learning). I guess another good thing that came out of it all. People never watch their foot-placement and are surprisingly easy to trip up lol. I still don't think I ever told my parents about any of it. Again, I wanted to make them proud.
School was another fight-show, although less-so because everyone feared an ass-whupping from the teachers, who actually didn't partake in that like the scoutmasters did. There were gangs that the black kids would form (mostly divided by tribe/language), which turned in to all out schoolyard brawls with a few dozen people involved on occasion. I saw 1 rival girl grab another girls hair and smash her face in to a school desk over and over.
Anyway, I'm not sure what triggered the move to Australia. My dad had worked hard and almost paid off the house, but started trying his best to get out. An old work friend called from Australia and offered him a job on behalf of his company, and they sponsored our visa's and helped with moving costs (provided my dad worked the next 5 years for them). We left all of the money from the house-sale to our family and dipped when I was 12.
Honestly, I fkn loved it when I got here. The first things I noticed was how clean it was, and how people would actually walk around at night on their own, going to get cigarettes or whatever. I remember at lunch on my first day at school, the kids complained about how mean the teacher was, but she was the nicest teacher I'd ever had. Didn't hit me or scream in my face once. Everyone here was pretty friendly. I was behind in my english though and had a rough time adjusting to school, though I studied hard. My dad had always wanted me to go in to the same profession as him, and actually be the first person in my family to graduate from university. (since he went to a technical college and worked his way up the ladder to get to where he was). I had no say in the matter.
Highschool started the next year, and I was quickly realising that a lot of my behaviour had to change if I wanted any friends. Back in the old country, if someone talked shit, you smack them or you're kind of a bitch. I was chilling with the autistic son of my dad's friend from work who got him the job, and a kid started teasing him, so I ran up to the dude and choke-slammed him. Probably would have been suspended if anyone had ratted me out, but the look of disgust on everyones face cut me deep. Here it was starting to isolate me, so in one go I went from a fighter to an all out pacifist, realising that fighting didn't really solve much so I swore off it forever. Only got in to 2-3 fights after that, one in defence of a gay friend who was being smacked up by a bully, where I snapped and held the bully up against a wall by his neck in a fit of rage until he stopped swinging at me. I would just snap back to my old fighting personality when shit got hairy and barely knew what I was doing. Felt like I was kinda back in Johannesburg I guess.
Anyway, by the end of highschool I got in to my second choice of university (after many arguments with my parents about not wanting to do it). My nightmares had become less frequent (think i was blocking them out somehow), but I'd started to really fear sleep and had become deeply depressed (although I didn't recognise how bad it was at the time) my grades kinda started slipping from then on. I had asked my parents twice about going to a psychologist, but they figured I just needed to toughen up a bit. They controlled everything in my life, from my bank accounts to my sleep schedule and internet, even though I had been working for years at a supermarket by then. When I'd by study-snacks from the shops, my parents would look through all my shopping before I could go and study. (I dunno, maybe she thought I was buying weed or something lol, but I hadn't smoked it ever at that point in my life.) It was down to the pettiest stuff. I was 18 and still had no Independence from my family. This continued until I was about 23.
About 3-4 years in to uni I realised I was flunking all my exams and went to the doctor with "Trouble Concentrating". I figured he'd give me Dexies or something to help with my studying. After explaining honestly what a lot of my symptoms were, his questioning got quite specific, like "Do you check if a door is locked, multiple times", and that was when he told me I had OCD. I was having panic attacks in all my exams and just hadn't recognised it. Now the diarrhoea before I wrote those exams makes sense. He started me on some medication and referred me to a specialised therapist, where I got 10 government-compensated sessions. It didn't go far.
During my first year of uni I met my girlfriend of the next 5 years. She had a rich family (Giant house on the riverfront type-of-rich) and expected a lot in terms of how I pampered her, although it was mutual thanks to daddy's money so she had no real expenses to speak of, even though she worked. I was madly in love with her, but it was a dysfunctional relationship from the start. She would get mad when I went to church "Because there were other women there", so I eventually just stopped going. Then came my highschool and uni friends, and I lost all but 2 of them. This was ironic, because all her friends were guys from Highschool and Uni (Science Major lol). But I put up with it. She hated my family too (although had some legit reasons as you guys know) and made me try to choose between them multiple times. We had sex every time I stayed at her place (not allowed with mine), and she started crying the first time I said I wasn't in the mood, which became a pattern that would result in me doing it despite how I felt. That resulted in me becoming more and more disgusted by myself over the next 5 years.
She had some good qualities too, because nobody is all-bad. She was kind and would write me notes all the time and hide them in places. That's the part I loved. She knew and accepted all of my weird sleep issues and night-terrors. One night I was having a night-terror which she woke me up from, and I snapped and grabbed her head and face and tried to squeeze my thumbs in her eyes. It was a few seconds before I realised where I was, and who I was hurting, and I stopped. I cried for the rest of the night in her lap, feeling like a monster.
Anyway, around the age of 23 I was moving town for my final year, away from my parents, girlfriend and few friends I had. That's when my depression really started spiralling down. It was a small town with a lot of homeless people, who I started hanging out with and buying weed from. My drinking got heavier and regular, and after I failed my first semester there, I dropped out and never told anyone, friends included. I sat in my dorm room all day drinking and smoking through my savings. I started eating 1 small meal per day (or nothing some days) and thoughts of suicide came flooding in. Eventually I got back from that year and had to break the news to everyone, which sucked even more. I guess that finally convinced my parents that I actually needed the psychologist. The first time my girlfriend saw me naked she cried, because my ribs were poking out and I used to be pretty fit from gym and sports. The doctor diagnosed me with severe depression and changed up my meds again. It didn't help much for a while, and my girlfriend eventually left me for a guy my dad saw her with at a shopping mall like a month beforehand (none of her friends I'd ever met). That honestly sucked bad, but after waiting a few weeks, my friend told me I should just hop on Tinder. I hopped on tinder and got quite the confidence boost, and met some great girls, but eventually settled for the one I'm with now, and have been dating for the last two years, living together. She understands my issues a lot more, having grown up in a religious cult and been through a fair bit herself. We're both pretty dysfunctional humans but we try our best to help each other. She cheated on me somewhat early in the relationship with another girl, but told me about it the morning after, and cut contact with her and all that, so we've mostly mended that one over the next year and a half or so. We have our issues, but we're working on them.
Anyway the reason I'm writing all of this is that nobody has ever really got the full story, including my girlfriend. I have trust issues for other reasons lol. Not sure how to talk about a lot of it. I've done much better now, but my girlfriend is rushing off to be with her father in europe, because he's declined rapidly and maybe has a week or two left. Asbestos is a son of a bitch. A lot of the crying and emotions last night brought up a lot of these old feelings and emotions of my own, and I tried to write it out yesterday, but my post was pretty pathetic because I was too drunk. It's been a rough few months with money and all, and I'm still drinking like a sailor, although I quit weed 2 months ago and haven't touched it since. Hard to stop drinking when your girlfriend was born in ireland though, haha.
I've never been diagnosed with PTSD because I never told my therapist about most of this shit. Haven't been back since those 10 sessions. I told a few close friends with PTSD diagnosed about my night-terrors, etc, and they seem to think I have it, so I came on here and read a few of the posts, and figured I might give it a shot at actually being honest.
Not sure who's gonna read this, but it's nice to know that maybe someone will be listening, without living the shame of knowing them and seeing their faces. It was quite cathartic anyway, so I'm glad I got it off my chest, even if nobody reads it.
Sorry for any spelling errors, but this a long post.

2019.05.24 10:06 LloydsLluck [HR] The Best Part of You

“You can kick and scream all you want baby, but this ship is going dooown!” The demon howled joyfully as old-man-Ed scrambled on the floor of the empty McDonalds kitchen, like a fat rat having a stroke. By now, all his employees have escaped onto the streets. Not one wasting a second to help their obese abusive manager, who has been trapped in the inside of his fast food restaurant - at a very inconvenient time.
“What the fuck is happening!?” Ed belched out between his fat lips. His round cheeks shined red below his forehead, dripping profusely of sweat. The panic and confusion towards the chaos erupting around him made him break out in pools of secretion. That, and the gigantic crack in the kitchen floor that seemed to have split open the earth beneath the shopping mall, omitting waves of heat that licked the surface.
“My sweet baby Ed, it’s the final day - yeaaah! End of timesss, tribulation period over. D-Day is finally happening. Rapture ya- know?” The demon danced around the man and hopped onto the yellow counter to make himself comfortable with a fat cigarette and a pink milkshake. “Apocalypse now and all that fun stuff, you know?”
Ed’s striped beige shirt was ripped open on the top, exposing a gold chain wrapped in curly chest hair. Some casualty buttons laid scattered across the dirty white tiles, while he fanatically clutched at his torso, breathing fast and heavy.
“Who the fuck are you!?” he spat out, frightened at the site of this unnatural looking human creature, who had the face of an angel but topped with two small horns protruding from his soft locks of brown hair. His athletic body was dressed in the snazziest midnight blue suede suit. He also flaunted a pair of golden boots with black tips to finish off his ‘end-of-the-world-outfit’.
“Moi?” The demon whirled his wrist in the air with a big smile. “I’m no one you should be concerned with right now. But, by the looks of it sweet-cheeks, we’ll be spending a lot of time with each other very sssoon. For all the getting-to-know-you-you-getting-to-know-me chitchats in the world” He happily replied. “Rather, you should be focused on more important things like the choices you’ve made throughout your life.” He blew a puff of smoke into the air.
“What the fuck are you talking about!” Ed shouted in pain, “why is my leg disappearing?”
“It’s not.”
“Yes. Yes, it is I can feel it!” Ed tried to reach for the bottom of his left pant to lift up to see what’s going on, but his big belly pushed him back down on his back while the demon just slurped his shake and smiled.
“And my eye! It’s. It’s going grey! I can’t see through it” he clasped his hand tightly over his left eye, hoping the pressure would stop the feeling that it was slowly being pulled out.
The demon gave a satisfying burb and mumbled about how he missed the sweet taste of strawberries.
“You see babes, today is all about the sssoul.” The demon dragged his long finger down his chest in a sensational manner while he licked his lips enthusiastically. “Today we’re all about finding out where our souls belong.” He winked.
Ed let go of his eye and started to hit his head with the palm of his hand and commanded himself to wake up. “Wake up!” He yelled hysterically, “This is all a bad dream! Wake up!”
“Oh, don’t be so dramatic” The demon tipped his cigarette ash on his chest. “This is just it. It’s every bad, selfish, fuckt-up thing you’ve ever done, comes down to this day.” He slurped some more, “But what makes you so special – why I had to really fight and beg to be the one to escort you back, is that near-death experience you had 10 years ago.” Ed’s eyebrows furrowed as he gulped like a goldfish out of water.
“Don’t you remember sweet angel?” The demon’s ferret-like eyes closely observed his victim’s reaction and took another long drag. Ed remained quiet and pushed himself back up against the opposite counter, eyeing any options to escape.
“You don’t remember, do you?”
“Of course I do!” Ed snapped back, which made the demon grin.
“It was that beautiful quiet night in September 2010 when you lied to your wife about a work function in Joburg,” air quoting the work function part, “But as I recall magoshas don’t do very well in giving strategic feedback on annual reports. Ha! More like anal reports. Am I right?” He winked and laughed.
Ed snarled at him while he noticed sharp pains shooting through his back.
“Sho, tough crowd” the demon smirked. “Anywhoo. Despite your colleagues telling you over and over again to not drive home, you ssstill insisted. Heck! You could barely hold your own balls up to shit straight. But noooo, you are big man Ed.” The demon mocked in gorilla-like voice.
“And so, you got into your SUV, piss drunk, and sped down the M1 just to fall asleep at the wheel.” He licked his lips again, waiting for a reaction. “You woke up in the ICU the next day with half your body obliterated, remember?” He lingered again on the last part.
“What do you want!?” Ed screamed hysterically.
“Nothing really. I’m here for you baby.”
Ed tried to get up, but gravity pulled his bowels back down and forced him to sit where he was and listen.
“So!” The demon continued cheerfully.
“What you chose to forget about that night is that you brutally killed a whole family, right? A sweet mother and a caring father to a baby boy and a 3-year-old girl. So pure, so innocent.”
With those words he hopped off the counter and hunched down to meet Ed at eye level, his golden boots kicked open his legs to sit as close as he could – face to face. Ed could smell the sulfur breath and noticed a different gleam in the demon’s eyes as he stared into his soul.
“But did it matter?” The demon asked softly.
Ed gulped hard and tried to avoid making eye-contact.
“Yes, actually!” The demon answered himself and bounced back up on the counter as if he was performing a hilarious skit at a children’s show.
“Because ssince you were in need of a new eye socket, kidney and left bottom leg, the miracle of modern medicine and a convenient pile of dead family members - thanks to you of course - were able to transfer the parts to you. Did you know that? Ha! What a miracle that they had what you needed?” He smiled wide like a panting dog. “And you didn’t even get in trouble for that oopsie on the highway, did you? Just paid the man and made it all go away - you sssneaky snake you. I may learn a thing or two.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Ed replied.
“Oh. Well focus now honey, because this is important. You’re quite special since this was not the only transplant you’ve had, is it?”
Ed grappled at his chest again.
“Noo, you also have a new heart in you?” He giggled, “Because Mr.Tubby-wubby couldn’t control his brandy and coke intake, could he?”
Ed moaned when he tried to move again but the tiles cracked underneath him as if an invisible force was pulling something inside him down.
“Oh wait!” The demon exclaimed with a finger in the air. “That’s right, I just remembered what you told your brother the other day.” He cleared his throat and started to speak. But the voice that came out sounded exactly like Ed’s.
“The only time a kaffer was useful is when this one died and gave me a new heart.” He even tapped his chest the same way Ed did when he joked about his new transplant from the African donor. The fat man screamed for help, but the demon just smiled and waited.
In the demon’s own calm voice, he continued: “Fun fact, that donor was a doctor. Did you know that? One of those Doctors-Across-Borders type of guys, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of others. . . No matter what race or gender. I know, too fancy for my taste as well.” He smirked.
“Oh, go fuck yourself!” Ed exclaimed.
“Sweet baby, that’s the spirit!” The demon whooped like a drunk girl in a limousine.
“It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there like you always say!”
Ed finally slumped down completely on the floor, and felt his body being ripped apart in the different places where he had surgeries. Even though he couldn’t see anything happening he could feel the pain shredding through him as the invisible force tore into his insides.
“Oh snap! Sorry sugar-tits! I forgot to tell you, silly me.” The demon got up onto the counter and paced it proudly like an actor in the spotlight.
“I’m here is to tell you that our souls are sowed into every fiber of our bodies. Neat hey? So, it’s the rapture as you should have figured out by now, and that means it’s time for souls to travel to their final destination. Choo-choo!”
The demon laughed hard. “You being you, of course - the oh so important Ed-magoo - means parts of you obviously don’t belong to you or here. And definitely don’t belong where you’re going. These parts, these foreign pieces of other people’s sweet souls, are returning to their rightful and righteous owners. While the rest of you my dear…” his eyes shined brightly, “well you have a date with me baby cakes, whooo!”

2019.03.28 11:15 lovethebacon JMPD launches reckless driving hotline

JMPD Hotline to target Joburg’s high levels of reckless driving and by-law infringements
27 March 2019
Release: immediate
In order to make reporting reckless and negligent driving behaviour as well as by-law infringements across the City of Johannesburg as easy to report as possible, the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) today launched the Buya Mthetho Hotline pilot project.
As the monthly release of these successes and challenges promotes the department to be proactive in its public safety efforts, the Hotline pilot project will allow JMPD to do just that. This hotline now allows residents to report reckless and inconsiderate road behaviour along with other by-law infringements. They will be able to upload the footage onto the WhatsApp-based hotline whereafter JMPD will follow up and take the necessary actions.
The launch of this pilot project is aimed at creating a safer City that is enhanced for all, especially since reckless driving and driving under the influence has been at the top of the monthly transgressions. On a daily basis, JMPD receives complaints of bad driving and blatant disregard of traffic laws and rules. We also receive complaints on noise and other by-law infringements. The frustration extends to social media where residents express their anger and frustration.
Often and unfortunately, these incidences are not reported to the correct authorities.
We encourage our residents to use the Buya Mthetho Hotline and report those that are endangering the safety of others.
The hotline uses the WhatsApp platform where residents can:
The photo or video must have been taken by the complainant themselves, and not forward photos or clips taken by a third party or downloaded from other sources. The complainant must also be able and willing to testify against the offender if required in terms of the legal process. Once the complaint is received, JMPD will analyse the evidence and deal with it accordingly, including submission of the complaint to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for prosecution.
I hope that through this pilot project, we will be able to better design and implement a proper process to deal with video evidentiary complaints by the public and that offenders will be dealt with accordingly.
The Reckless Driving Hotline WhatsApp number is 0814106338.
Voice complaints are still to be reported to JMPD on 0113755911.
It is important to also state that residents should only record incidents when it is safe to do.

Hi reddit,
I need your help. I need to make a decision. These are the factors: - I took a sabbatical for March, April and left my work city (joburg) to go back to my home city (cape town) - My gmat test date is the 28th of April - I am in cape town because i couldnt afford to live in jhb for two months with no rent and i lived the idea of being looked after essentially by my mother - My boyfriend (of 1.3 years) is: - in home city/ cape town - wants me to stay in cape town - says he will break up with me if we do long distance
But long distance is inevitable because: - I need to go back to JHB because a) I have a job i need to return to b) There are no jobs in cape town (you lazy mf excuse of a city) c) MY DREAM JOBS ARE ONLY EVER GOING TO BE IN A CITY THAT IS NOT in cape town.
I WANT to get a job in another city. I WANT to live in Europe/Asia/ I AM going to write this MUFAKUNIN GMAT and apply to the top Bschools and GO THERE.
so essentially, I've answered myself, hey. a break-up is inevitable if im going to be ambitious.
He's a director of a design firm, he's worked in oglivy in paris, he's worked in jobourg as a snr art director. he's won over 10 awards. he's 27.
so he's set. im not.
SO IM GOING TO GO OUT THERE.
AM I MAKING THE RIGHT DECISION.
UPDATE
WE BROKE UP. HE BROKE UP WITH ME BECAUSE HE COULDNT DO LONG DISTANCE - IT HAD ONLY BEEN 3 WEEKS.

2018.03.28 10:50 EyesAllOnFire Megathread (part 5) - Australian ball tampering incident - fallout and punishment discussion

Link to part 1
Link to part 2
Link to part 3
Link to part 4
Link to memes thread
This will be the last of these threads (unless something else significant happens to justify another one)
Another thread to continue collating opinion/analysis/discussion pieces about this incident into one place, including the reaction and fallout from the initial investigation findings. Significant new news developments/articles can be posted separately.
Context: Australian opener Cameron Bancroft was caught using tape to alter the condition of the ball during play. Steve Smith has admitted that the Australian leadership group had planned for this to happen.
Smith, Warner, and Bancroft apparently the only people that knew of the plan. Renshaw, Burns, and Maxwell will replace the trio in the squad. Lehmann will remain as coach. Tim Paine officially endorsed as Australian test captain.
Smith and Warner have been banned by CA for 12 months, Bancroft for 9 months.
Important:
Please remember rule 6. Attacks/flamebait directed at Australian fans will result in bans. The team rightly deserves to cop whatever heat is coming to them, but that's not an excuse to abuse fans that are suffering and outraged too.

2018.03.26 16:22 chrisndc Visiting Cape Town in May, a few stupid questions...

So I've been looking around trying to book things for my husband and I to do while visiting Cape Town, before heading to Johannesburg.
Soooo, first stupid question, is there no way to book passage on a train, i.e. Shosholoza Premiere Class without filling out a form and e-mailing what seems like a travel agency?
The only times I have taken trains was on the east coat of the US and you just select the dates, enter your details, and credit card and it's done. I just am hesitant to provide my credit card details to a seemingly random e-mail address...
I have found the same for the SA National Parks and safari tours. No prices listed online, must fill a form out, await an e-mail from a travel agency.
I guess my question is, is this legit? Am I just not seeing the "real" websites?
Would anyone recommend driving cross country from Cape Town to Jburg in a rental car?
We're staying in Cape Town for a little over a week, before heading out to Johannesburg for an additional week. Hopefully with some wildlife spotting inbetween. Super pumped about the trip, we're just two total South Africa travel noobs.
edit:
Thanks everyone for your thoughtful responses! There is so much great, invaluable information here.
We have taken a lot of your suggestions and planned out our visits to these locations (driving the Garden Route, more time in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth -> Flying to Joburg, no train riding). We are aware of the drought and appreciate your comment Bigfred12.
We're so fucking excited for this trip, which all of our family have told us is a trip of a lifetime. We are really hoping to visit Kruger (and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe), but we are a little overwhelmed at how expensive the guided tours are. Thanks again!

2017.06.18 13:01 EmilyUK20 Every other day I wake up as a girl called Kate. (Part 3)

Part 1
Part 2
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6
Part 7
Part 8
Part 9
Part 10 - FINAL
Waking up in the now familiar room, I lost that sense of fear and dread I once had since the first time I woke up here. Each time something changes, it makes me wonder if I'm skipping days in this other life, even weeks. I've started to leave the house now, only for a little while. I still find it difficult getting ready to go out as Kate. When I shower, I close my eyes out of respect for this body that is not my own. My hair takes so much effort to wash and dry, I've never had long hair and this is ridiculously hard work. I sit on the bed in the mirror with a hairdryer and a brush and I am hypnotized by this girl. Even with wet hair blowing everywhere, she is hard to take your eyes off. She has grown thinner and paler since the first morning I woke up in a vomit stained bed. I feel a sense of concern for her.
With her hair dry, I walk around the room trying to find clothes to wear today. I go for black high waisted jeans and a basic white baggy t-shirt tucked into the jeans. I see a red lipstick labelled "Man Killer Red" and laugh to myself as I apply it to her lips, I mean, this is the only chance I could ever have the excuse to wear a lipstick with a name like that. My real self would look like a little kid who tripped and fell into her mother's makeup bag if I attempted it.
The sun was bright when I left the house, after going through her laptop and phone I have worked out where it is I'm supposed to go to class. I can't cope with the loneliness of sitting in her room anymore, the fear of being out in her world is still as intense as ever, but figured that maybe this can take my mind off it until I go to sleep and leave her again. I got on the bus with her bus card that I found in a little heart shaped tin on her dressing table and sat down, looking out the window during the journey with her earplugs in and listening to more of her playlist. This time it was 'Hold On' by SBTRKT, a dreamy electronic track, her taste in music always surprises me. We drove through street after street, women pushing their babies in prams, kids running around with their dog. This is a small town which is about 4 hours from where I live.
The thought has crossed my mind to find my old self in 2015, unfortunately if I did that I would be living in Johannesburg, South Africa. We lived there for 3 years before moving back last year. Joburg gets a bad rep, but we had a good experience in our time there. I actually preferred it to Cape Town, which is often a favourite of visitors. Our house was in one of the nicer areas, with big houses all displaying security signs outside the big metal gates and big cars in the driveways. My favourite place was a street downtown which was considered dangerous by my parents and their friends, but I have been there a couple times in secret with friends. It's where everything happens, street vendors, cool shops which double up as salons, traditional art galleries next to cola shops which only sell cola but in dozens of varieties. What I loved most were the signs on the buildings, old painted signs advertising products which have long died. It's hard to find character like that in the more richer areas. Nothing bad had ever happened to me there but I had heard stories from girls I knew who said they had been stopped by criminals at night, who mugged them and left them there alone.
The bus stopped with a thud, abruptly ending my trail of thought. We stopped about 3 minutes from my destination according to the maps app on my cracked phone. I got off and started walking toward the gates of the university, and proceeded up the steps to the main reception. A friendly looking receptionist greeted me as if she hadn't seen me in years. "Kate! Wow so great to see you back here, do you want to know where you're meant to be?", I said hello and that I'd love that. That was exactly what I needed. She walked me through the wooden halls, her heels tapping and making the loudest sound. Some guys in passing were looking at me, that's an unusual feeling for me, guys generally don't look at me like that.
We walked through some doors and through another hall, the building was actually pretty cool, very old with traditional detailing on the ceilings and the walls. She opened the big wooden doors at the very top of the building and we walked into what I can only describe as a large attic studio. There were about 20 people in there, some half hidden by their easels and a naked man in the middle of them, casually waving at me. Everyone was very quick to come say hi and give me a hug, apart from the naked model, thankfully.
I have to say, the weirdest part of this day was that for someone who can't draw a stick figure, it was the oddest sensation to confidently pick up a charcoal stick and start sketching. I'm thinking it is muscle memory, but something just took over me and my hands knew exactly what I wanted to do. And there it was, an impressive sketch of this man in front of me. My teacher came by and complimented me on a job well done before going on to the next student. I just stood there looking at my hands which were now black from the charcoal, and possibly my face too judging by the chuckles from the guy next to me. It was a very weird sensation. And I really regretted wearing that white t-shirt.
At the end of the day I was stopped by Theo, the guy who first contacted me when I had no idea who I even was. He has class at a different part of the building but he had heard I was back from some of the uni gossips. He was very cute, fluffy blonde hair and a ridiculous shirt that screamed "I'm a film student".
I felt a bit of a fraud talking to him as if I knew him but what else was I to do? "Oh hi, just so you know, I may look like Kate but I'm actually a really boring nursing student borrowing her body for a little while". You could tell he had a lot to ask me but was biting his tongue as to not scare me off, but our casual chit chat was interrupted by the funniest car horn I've heard in a while. It was like an old 1940s siren. I looked in the direction of the noise and there was a car parked outside the gate, it was a small white 80s ford with some guy driving it who seemed to be gesturing to me. The horn went off again and Theo rolled his eyes and said begrudgingly "I guess you're going to go with him then?", am I?! Oh god I froze on the spot, am I supposed to know this guy? I didn't want to make a scene so I did possibly the most stupid thing I've done in a while and said my goodbyes to Theo before walking in the direction of the stranger in the car.
As I got closer I saw the driver. He didn't get out. I opened the door and sat down. The man next to me smiled before leaning over and kissing me lightly on the head. Theo shot me a look from the entrance like I was an idiot, I could see his eyes roll even all the way from the car. The atmosphere changed as soon as I was in the car, the stranger was blaring "International Dateline" by Ladytron on his tinny sounding old speakers. One song I actually knew, surprisingly. I analyzed his face as we drove, I won't beat around the bush here, he was extremely attractive. I couldn't help but think just how much Astrid would have gone crazy for him, absolutely her type. He was tall, I could tell even as he was sat down from his long limbs. He was skinny, his black hair mostly covered his dark eyebrows and brown eyes ...And he was American. It was undeniable his accent was American in the very few words he said to me.
He stopped the car near a docking area, we still hadn't said many words to each other and it was getting dark out. The only noises were seagulls and large trucks with containers driving through the area. It wasn't exactly the most romantic scene. He lit a cigarette and looked at me, "what's with the lipstick, man killer?" He said jokingly as if he knew me well enough to even know what the name of my lipstick was. The smoke he exhaled as he said it made my nose hurt. I hate smoking, but it seemed to suit him and the stereotypical look he was going for. He then processed to tell me he was thinking of leaving and as we haven't known each other that long, he wasn't sure if I cared or not, just that I should know. I felt once again like a fraud when I replied "ofcourse I care", do I? I don't even know him. He said he might leave to work abroad with his friend, also American. He didn't say what kind of job and I didn't dare to ask. I later found out his name, he is called Damien, like that evil kid from the Omen. I watched that film to death with my dad when I was a kid, I love horror movies.
He placed his hand on my knee and leaned in to kiss me, suddenly a dark figure appeared standing behind one of the trucks. It started screaming. And then... it flickered. Like an old tv. And then the truck flickered with it. Damien didn't seem to notice it because he asked me what was wrong. I looked up at the birds and they were flying in circles, faster and faster and I couldn't tell anymore that they were birds until one flew into the car and smashed into the window, splashing red and feathers, with its eyes looking at him. I passed out.
I woke up in bed again, except it wasn't Kate's bed. It was my bed. I had blood on my hands and on my pillow too, frantically I jumped up, knocking a lamp and breaking the glass on the wooden floor in the process. I ran to the mirror on my dresser and there it was, red smothered across my lips and cheek. It was the lipstick Kate had been wearing. Man Killer Red.
As soon as I left my room Astrid started laughing hysterically at me, "oh my god did you go out last night?! Is anyone in there?" Before running into my room like a child looking for Christmas presents.
I cleaned myself up and threw the sheets in the washing machine and now I'm writing this from my room. Astrid has gone out on a date and I've been laying here just trying to make some kind of sense of what is happening.
I just ordered the lipstick Kate had, I don't know why I did that. They are long discontinued in the shops so I had to order it online, it just makes me feel... closer to her, somehow. My phone has been ringing all morning, an unknown number. I should probably answer it, they have called me about 5 times today.
I'll be in touch, Emily

2017.06.09 15:44 Uncle_Retardo Uncle_Retardos Top 10 Tips to Picking up Ladies in South Africa

Hello Guys I have written a brief but helpful guide to picking up women in South Africa. The general population on southafrica are 20-30 year old dudes that are either at university or they work in IT so this handy bit of information pertains to that demographic. Meeting ladies in this country can be a bit tricky for guys who are too busy studying or creating dank memes to put of facebook so everything I write comes from my own experiences in the dating world. Its called UncleRetardos 10 Tips to Picking up Ladies in South Africa.
1) First of you need to take a look at yourself in the mirror and decide if you need a haircut or shave. The fashion these days is to have a beard so don't worry if its a bit patchy just take a look at how Leo Di Caprio shapes his face pubes and take it from there. Go to a barber and tell the man you need too look sharp cause you are going to take a selfie later on.
2) Decide how you want to meet women. There are two ways: Real life and Online dating. I find picking up chicks at the baclub/petshop/woolorths etc a bit risky because you never know if they are married/have children/secret cocaine addiction etc and that is not worth the hassle, trust me. There are loads of dating apps and websites that are great to promote your single self to the females of South Africa. Tinder is not that big in SA but choose dating sites like komonsklik, datingbuzz, love2meet etc they are all owned by the same company.
3) Setting up your online dating profile is easy but you must put alot of thought into it. Only make one profile or you will look like a doos because the dating lab will share your profile through all of its online appellations. Choose a clever funny nickname like BoksburgNinja666 or HenryTheHatTipper or maybe even something like KatanaExpert69 or even more hilarious how about TheDankestMemeLord but don't choose something boring like Boerseun123 or MrLogical those are kind of boring.
4) A picture is what sells. Make sure to take a selfie of yourself holding the phone above your eyelevel, don't hold it low, nobody wants to see whats inside your nostrils plus you will look fat. Only pout your lips slightly, stare not into the camera then take a pic. Go on MSpaint and airbrush out any weird stains on your shirt then upload the pic. From there, start filling in details about yourself like your age, location, hobbies etc. Take your time and write about things you like to do, what type of woman you are looking for and so on. If you like Magic the Gathering, say so, or you like looking for Pokemons? There are loads of like minded ladies that love that type of stuff.
5) Yay! Your profile is complete. Now its time to get down to business and find a match. There are two very important things to remember here; Location and Age. Don't bother searching for matches in Durban if you live in Joburg, it does not work like that, you need a match in your area, you don't want to drive 700km just to meet someone for coffee. Also, don't bother with women under 40, they are not easy and will try seduce you into marrying them and having children. You don't want that right now. I find the 45-60 age group the most accessible, usually by that time they are divorced and their kids have moved out. If they only have a pic of their face, click it, they probably have a big butt which means you are more likely to score. If you are in Joburg like me don't look for action in Sandton/Fourways/Parktown area, they may be cougars out there but they will bite your sausage off if you upset them like ignoring them or taking a piss on the bed in the morning cause you are still too drunk from the night before. I find the more South of Joburg you go the easier the access, if you know what I'm saying, bow chica wow wow, I find Randburg, Roodeport, Florida all the way to Mondeor is a gold mine of horny old ladies.
6) Yeah so I just remembered you might have to pay for a subscription for the dating sites so you can send messages but sometimes you might get likely and some hottie will pm her whatsapp of FB name and you can take it from there. Always meet for coffee first, that way you can check for warts, oral herpes and stuff and make sure everything is kosher on the outside. Usually try meet for coffee on a Saturday afternoon so if all is clear she will probably invite you over for some rumpy pumpy on Sunday.
7) So its Sunday and time for some action. Always make sure to meet at her house not yours, trust me on this one, you don't want someone ringing your intercom at 3am on a Tuesday screaming stuff about ...''missed my cycle'' ...your gonna be a daddeeeee''... etc Wear a rubber or if it makes your ding dong soft then just stick it up her pooper or bust a nut in her hair. Women love that, trust me. Try only meet once a week otherwise you will be considered her property.
8) Cocaine. Do not date a woman who snorts copious amounts of that stuff, she will keep you all night, I know it sounds fun huh? Nope. Stay very far away from that. Alcohol is fine, when she is drunk she will not mind if you sneak ur chommie into butthole, mouth, nostrils etc. Women over 60 are still deadly horny but you will need to do most of the work, you don't want her to break a hip cause of osteoporosis while she is jumping up and down on you.
9) If you have finally found a Friday Night Floozy then that is great but if things are not working out then you will need to hit the gym, specifically cardio and running, delete you facebook, change your number, install extra IR beams in the driveway and consult a paternity lawyer. You are too young to be a father and now you will have to fork out a bunch of money for school tuition, food, holidays, clothes and phone contracts.
10) Online Dating is the easiest way to score if you are a young twenty something maybe thirty something South African white male living in the Gauteng area doing ni/IT looking for some action with older women. The golden rule to a successful meetup is just be yourself. If you have, for example, a vast collection of My Little Pony horses then don't be afraid to express it, give your date a personalized knitted brony artwork with her name on it on the first date, women love that creative mystery of a ninchuck welding hat tipping neckbeard. Good Luck.
